Everton put on the performance of the weekend, notching a 3-0 win over Manchester United at Goodison Park on Sunday morning, but it was Chelsea’s goalless draw at Arsenal that was the most significant result at the top of the table.
The Blues are now just two victories away from securing the league title with five to play.
Manchester City were 3-2 winners over Aston Villa and are now level on points with Arsenal for second place, having played a game more than the Gunners.
At the other end of the table, Leicester City clawed its way out of the relegation zone with a 1-nil win over Burnley.
