U.S. Open Preview: Spieth looks for second major; Tiger hopes to get on track

06/17/2015

US Open GolfUNIVERSITY PLACE, WA – The 115th U.S. Open Championship begins tomorrow at Chambers Bay just outside of Seattle.

The defending champion is Martin Kaymer, who went wire-to-wire in winning at Pinehurst a year ago. Also in the field is Masters champion Jordan Spieth, who will look to add a second major to his young career. Rory McIlroy finished fourth at Augusta National in April, but will look to repeat his U.S. Open success at Congressional in 2011.

Tiger Woods has 14 major championships under his belt, but none since winning the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines in 2008, while Phil Mickelson has finished second in the Open six times and would like nothing more than to complete a career Grand Slam at Chambers Bay.

Ahead of the start of play on Thursday, we hear from all five players.
