The Open Championship: Dustin Johnson leads as darkness falls

Britain Open GolfST. ANDREWS, SCOTLAND – On a day when weather delayed the round by three hours and many players were unable to finish their second 18 at St. Andrews, Dustin Johnson remained atop the leaderboard.

The American got it to -10 for the championship before darkness halted play when he was through 13 holes of his second round.

England’s Danny Willett went out soon after a three-hour morning rain delay and moved to the top of the leaderboard at -9 after a 69.

Paul Lawrie of Scotland and Jason Day of Australia are both at -8 were through 12 and 11 holes respectively when the round was suspended. Another Scot, Mark Warren, is among a group of several players at seven-under par that includes Zach Johnson, Adam Scott, Robert Streb and Louis Oosthuizen.

Johnson and the rest of the golfers that didn’t finish their second rounds will resume play Saturday at 7 AM.
