Offensive lineman don’t necessarily get the accolades of other football players because when they are doing their job, quarterbacks and running backs are given the opportunity to shine.
As the leader of the Pittsburgh Steeelers’ lines throughout the 1990s, center Dermontti Dawson was among the league’s best, appearing in 170 consecutive games and clearing enough holes to be named to seven consecutive Pro Bowls.
Dermontti Dawson was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
