This Week in the NCAA: Jake Olson of USC

09/18/2015

This Week in the NCAA 2014On the latest installment of This Week in the NCAA, Kevin Kugler brings you the inspirational story of USC long-snapper Jake Olson.

The freshman was cleared to practice this week with the Trojans, which wouldn’t be an exceptional story except for one detail: Olson has been blind since he was 13.

Olson was the long-snapper for his high school team on field goals and PATs a year ago – and has been a longtime friend of the USC program since striking up a friendship with then-USC head coach Pete Carroll.

He will dress for his first game as a USC walk-on this weekend.
