NEW ORLEANS, LA – Drew Brees hit C.J. Spiller for an 80-yard touchdown on the second play of overtime as the New Orleans Saints beat the Dallas Cowboys 26-20 on Sunday night.
The touchdown pass was the 400th of Brees’ career, becoming just the fifth quarterback to reach that milestone as he joined Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Dan Marino and Tom Brady.
The big play also saved kicker Zach Hocker from further embarrassment. The rookie out of Arkansas had a chance to win the game in regulation but missed a 30-yard attempt off the upright.
Kevin Kugler and James Lofton called the action on Westwood One.
