MNF Highlights: Cowboys beat Redskins 19-16 to pull closer in NFC East

12/08/2015

Dan BaileyLANDOVER, MD – The race to win the worst division in the NFL remains a tight one after the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Washington Redskins 19-16 on Dan Bailey’s late 54-yard field goal.

After 58 minutes of touchdown-free football, the game suddenly sprung to life after the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter. First DeSean Jackson fumbled a punt return and moments later Darren McFadden gave Dallas the lead with a six-yard touchdown run. The Redskins answered right back as Jackson redeemed himself with a 28-yard grab for a score. But, with :44 remaining, Dallas had time to get in position for Bailey’s game-winner.

The Cowboys are now 4-8, a game behind the Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants in the division.

Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason called the action on Westwood One.
