NEW YORK – Behind 18 points from Kevin Larsen, George Washington used a second half surge to defeat top-seeded Valparaiso 76-60 in the NIT Championship on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden. It is the first NIT Championship in George Washington program history.
Tyler Cavanaugh, who was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, added 12 points for the Colonials in the win.
