SPOKANE, Wash. – The only Pac-12 team remaining in the tournament field, top-seeded Oregon overcame a late 7-point deficit to edge St. Joseph’s 69-64 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament of Sunday night. The Ducks make their first trip to the Sweet 16 since 2013 and will meet Duke on Thursday.
Dillon Brooks led the charge for Oregon with 25 points. St. Joe’s forward DeAndre Bembry, the A-10 Player of the Year, finished with 16 points playing all 40 minutes. Bembry turned it over on the Hawks final possession with a chance to tie the game.
