NCAAW Final Four Highlights: Syracuse handles Washington to earn title shot


INDIANAPOLIS, IN – For the first time in school history, the Orange are headed to the NCAAW championship game, as fourth-seeded Syracuse comfortably cruised to a 80-59 victory over seventh-seeded Washington. Next up, Quentin Hillsman’s squad faces the toughest challenge of them all, as the Orange will attempt to spoil three-time defending champion UConn’s run at 38-0 perfection on Tuesday night.

Alexis Peterson paced the Orange with 18 points while dishing out 6 assists.

Huskies forward Talia Walton led all scorers with 29 points behind a red-hot 8-of-9 shooting from the beyond the arc.

Debbie Antonelli and Krista Blunk called the action on Westwood One Sports.
