In conjunction with NBC Sports, and the Horse Racing Radio Network, Westwood One is pleased to once again present exclusive, live play-by-play coverage of all three legs of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing: the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the
Belmont Stakes. The first leg of this year’s Triple Crown—the 142nd Kentucky Derby—will take place on Saturday, May 7th at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mike Penna of the Horse Racing Radio Network anchors the Triple Crown coverage. He is joined by analyst Kurt Becker. Tom Leach and Jude Feld contribute to the coverage, and former jockey Jeff Bloom will serve as trackside reporter. Rob Simmelkjaer will report from the paddock and red carpet areas. Larry Collmus handles the play-by-play of each race.
