FOXBORO, MA – New England was down to a third-string rookie to start at quarterback, but the Patriots didn’t miss a beat in a 27-0 whitewash of the Houston Texans on Thursday night.
Jacoby Brissett got the start in place of the injured Jimmy Garoppolo and the suspended Tom Brady and made the most of the occasion. Brissett had a 27-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Ian Eagle and Tony Boselli called the action on Westwood One.
