Interview: Kentucky’s John Calipari on rebounding battles, experienced opponent


INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Kentucky head coach John Calipari knows his team’s youth and inexperience will be tested on Sunday when they face a veteran squad in Greg Marshall’s Wichita State Shockers.

Calipari hopes that his Wildcats’ increased level of maturity throughout the course of the season, though, will enable them to make adjustments throughout the game as needed, especially in the critical area of shot selection, as baskets can become hard to come by in the “grind ’em out” variety of NCAA Tournament contests that this one promises to be.
