BUFFALO, NY – For the first time ever, the Ivy League regular season champion did not receive the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Despite the mental hurdle, Princeton showed great resilience in erasing a 10-point lead against fourth-seeded Penn in the semifinals of the Ivy League Tournament–on the Quakers’ home court–before pulling out the victory in overtime, and then going on to defeat Yale in the championship game.
Tigers’ head coach Mitch Henderson believes his team is battle-tested, but they will need to stay aggressive in order to handle the many challenges they will face in a versatile Notre Dame squad.
Scott Graham caught up with Mitch Henderson ahead of Thursday’s First Round game against the fifth-seeded Fighting Irish.
