Interview: Villanova’s Jay Wright on staying positive, handling disparate matchups

BUFFALO, NY – Villanova head coach Jay Wright knows what it takes to make a deep run through the NCAA Tournament.  For one, it starts with having a short memory and staying focused on only the next game.  His top-seeded Wildcats will look to put Thursday’s slow start against Mount St. Mary’s in the rear view mirror, and Wright will remind his team about how they responded with determined effort and poise midway through that contest.

It will be interesting to see how the Wildcats will handle the Badgers’ considerable size advantage and deliberate style of play –both stark contrasts from the small, up-tempo Mountaineer squad they faced in the First Round.

Scott Graham and Donny Marshall caught up with Jay Wright ahead of Villanova’s Second Round matchup with the eighth-seeded Badgers.
