LEXINGTON, Ky. – Once trailing by 16 points in the second half, No. 2-seed Stanford stormed back to edge top-seeded Notre Dame 76-75 in the Lexington Regional Final on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinal punch a ticket to the Final Four for the fifth time since 2010.
Alanna Smith’s jumper with 23 seconds left proved to be the difference. Smith finished with 15 points. Brittany McPhee led all scorers with 27 points.
