Interview: Jordan Mathews worked hard to get this opportunity and he’s not about to waste it


GLENDALE, AZ – Jordan Mathews knew he wanted to get to Gonzaga, he just didn’t know how much until he decided to spend an entire summer completing 24 hours of course work to get a graduate transfer from Cal. But he put in the work and it’s paid off by having him around to help get the Bulldogs to the national championship game.

Now he’s focused on the Tar Heels and keeping North Carolina off the glass, which he knows will be just as big a challenge as summer school.

Jason Horowitz caught up with Mathews ahead of the game.
