Interview: Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall after winning cross-country gold

Americans Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall made history on Wednesday in Korea, capturing the first-ever gold medal in cross-country skiing for the United States. The pair raced to the finish line first in the women’s team sprint. It’s also only the second medal in cross-country ever for the U.S. after Bill Koch’s silver way back in 1976.

Greg Mescall spoke with the triumphant Americans after their historic win.

Later, they stopped by our studios to talk with Laura Okmin.

As everyone predicted, the women’s figure skating competition in PyeongChang came down to a pair of Russians: 15-year-old Alina Zagitova and 18-year-old Evgenia Medvedeva.
