Men’s National Championship Recap: Donte DiVincenzo powers Villanova to second title in three years

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Behind 31 bench points from redshirt sophomore guard Donte DiVincenzo, Villanova captured the 2018 National Championship with a 79-62 win over Michigan at the Alamodome.

Trailing 21-14 early in the first half, the Wildcats erupted on a 23-7 run to lead 37-28 at halftime. Jay Wright’s squad picked up right where it left off in the second half, leading by as many as 22, as Villanova claimed its third National Championship in program history and second in the last three years.
