PHILADELPHIA, PA – It was deja vu in more ways than one on Thursday night as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Atlanta Falcons 18-12 in the NFL season opener.
The Eagles successfully executed a version of the famed “Philly Special” play from Super Bowl LII and as happened in the playoffs between these two teams a year ago, the game ended with Matt Ryan throwing incomplete to Julio Jones on what could’ve been a game-winning score.
Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason called the action on Westwood One.
