Leah Amico

Leah (O’Brien) Amico serves as the analyst for the Women’s College World Series on the Westwood One/NCAA Radio Network. While starring in the outfield for the University of Arizona, Amico appeared in four national championship games (1993-95, 1997), winning three titles. She was named to the all-tournament team in 1994, 1995 and 1997 and still holds the WCWS record for highest average in a single series, batting .750 in 1994. During her career with the Wildcats, she hit .428 with 53 doubles, seven home runs and 181 RBIs. She also scored 253 runs in her four years, second-best in NCAA history at the time she graduated. She was a three-time first-team academic All-American, and in 2006, she was named to the NCAA Division I Softball 25th Anniversary Team.

Amico also was a three-time Olympic gold medalist, winning as a member of the U.S. Olympic softball team in 1996, 2000 and 2004.

She has served as an analyst for ESPN’s coverage of the super regionals for each of the last five years and has also co-hosted the Christian Sports Show “More Than Conquerors” on Trinity Broadcasting Network. 2013 marks her thied Women’s College World Series as a radio analyst.
