ATLANTA (9/18/11) – Michael Vick left the game in the 3rd quarter with an injury and the Atlanta Falcons (1-1) rallied from a late 10-point deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 35-31 on Sunday Night Football.
Mike Kafka relieved Vick for the Eagles (1-1) and went 7-9 for 72 yards in trying to rally the team, but Jeremy Maclin dropped a key 4th down pass and, later, Kafka’s desperation heave at the end of regulation was batted down as the Falcons held on to win.
