AUSTIN, TX – Jeff Withey’s three-point play with :37 left put Kansas ahead for good as the Jayhawks withstood a furious second-half rally to defeat Texas 69-66 on Saturday afternoon.
Withey’s layup and free throw put Kansas back ahead after J’Covan Brown had brought the Longhorns all the way back from a 12-point halftime deficit with a series of big shots.
