SAN FRANCISCO – Alex Smith hit Vernon Davis on a 14-yard touchdown pass with :09 remaining to send the San Francisco 49ers to a Divisional Round victory against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints by a final score of 36-32 on Saturday afternoon.
The Smith-to-Davis connection was the fourth touchdown and fourth lead change in the final 4:02 of the game.
The 49ers move on to the NFC Championship Game, where they will face the winner of Sunday’s Giants-Packers game.
