EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The New York Giants defeated the Atlanta Falcons 24-2 in a Wild Card round game Sunday thanks to stifling defense and a stellar three-touchdown performance from Eli Manning.
Atlanta struck first with a safety when Manning was called for intentional grounding in the end zone early in the second quarter, but those two points were the last the Falcons would score.
Manning threw for 277 yards on 23-32 passing and hit Hakeem Nicks with two of his three TD passes.
Ian Eagle and Trent Green called the action on the Westwood One Radio Network.
