LEXINGTON, KY – Powered by freshman Anthony Davis’ 28 points, the Kentucky Wildcats captured their 45th regular season Southeastern Conference Championship with an 83-74 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores.
The victory was Kentucky’s 51st consecutive win at home.
Jeffrey Taylor scored 19 to pace the Commodores (20-9, 9-5) in the loss. Marquis Teague poured in 16 for Kentucky (28-1, 14-0).
