HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY – The Western Washington Vikings are national champions for the very first time.
WWU defeated Montevallo 72-65 in Saturday’s Division II National Championship Game, thanks to a late 11-1 run that allowed the Vikings to pull away from the Falcons.
Five different Vikings scored in double figures as WWU won its first ever title.
