PITTSBURGH, PA – On a day typically known for plenty of drama and stunning comebacks, Gonzaga followed a much different script.
The 7th-seeded Bulldogs ran away and hid from 10th-seeded West Virginia, building an early lead and cruising to a 77-54 victory in Pittsburgh.
Robert Sacre and Gary Bell, Jr. paced a balanced Bulldogs attack with 14 points apiece. Gonzaga will meet the winner of 2nd-seeded Ohio State and 15th-seeded Loyola-Maryland.
Scott Graham and Kevin Grevey called the action on the Westwood One Radio Network.
