NASHVILLE, TN – Dion Dixon’s steal and dunk with 1:32 remaining in regulation sealed a trip to the Sweet Sixteen for sixth-seeded Cincinnati. The Bearcats knocked off Florida State 62-56 in their 3rd round NCAA East Regional game.
Sean Kilpatrick led Cincinnati with 18 points. Dixon finished with 15, including the dunk that gave the Bearcats (26-10) a lead they would never relinquish.
Luke Loucks led the Seminoles (25-10) with 14 points in a losing effort.
Cincinnati will face 2-seed Ohio State in their Sweet Sixteen matchup on Thursday in Boston.
