PITTSBURGH, PA – There is nothing coaches and players hate more than losing, but perhaps Gonzaga’s most recent setback will become a positive in the long run.
After suffering a heartbreaking, 78-74 overtime loss to St. Mary’s (CA) in the WCC Tournament championship game, the Bulldogs took out their frustration on West Virginia in the second round of the East regional, dismantling the Mountaineers by a 77-54 final.
Now, 7th-seeded Gonzaga will look to take down a true giant in the form of 2nd-seeded Ohio State, as the two teams will square off Saturday afternoon.
