NASHVILLE, TN – Ohio was able to pull off the upset in a game where the lead changed constantly. Michigan had a chance after Trey Burke hit a 3 pointer with 4:12 left in the game but didn’t help their cause by missing their final five shots or by shooting only 7 for 23 from 3 point range.
The Bobcats are no stranger to upsets. They beat #3 seed Georgetown in the tournament two years ago as a #14 seed.
D.J. Cooper was the leading scorer for Ohio, pouring in 21.
