South Regional 2nd Round: (10) Xavier 67 – (7) Notre Dame 63

GREENSBORO, NC – Trailing by double-figures in the second  half, Xavier decided they weren’t ready to see their season come to an end.

Led by Tu Holloway’s game-high 25-point effort, the 10th-seeded Musketeers came back to topple 7th-seeded Notre Dame, 67-63.  Xavier will take on 15th-seeded Lehigh, who upset 2nd-seeded Duke earlier in the day, on Sunday.

Jack Cooley scored a team-high 18 points for the Irish, who put four players in double-figures, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Musketeers.

Gary Cohen and Reid Gettys called the action on the Westwood One Radio Network.
