NEW ORLEANS, LA – Star seniors are becoming an increasingly rare commodity in college basketball, but two such players will take the floor in Monday night’s national championship game.
Darius Miller is that player for Kentucky. For Kansas, it’s Tyshawn Taylor. The native of Hoboken, New Jersey, along with fellow guard Travis Releford, will look to at least neutralize the presence of Miller and backcourt mate Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
Taylor’s production has exploded from just 9.3 points per game as a junior to 17.3 this season as a senior. He will look to cap off his stunning ascension with a national title in his final collegiate game.
Kevin Kugler caught up with Taylor ahead of Monday’s national championship game against Kentucky.
