MNF Highlights: Seahawks 14 – Packers 12

09/25/2012

SEATTLE — In one of the most bizarre finishes to a game you’ll ever see, Russell Wilson connected with Golden Tate on a disputed 24-yard touchdown pass to give the Seattle Seahawks a 14-12 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.

On the final play, Packers safety M.D. Jennings appeared to intercept the pass prior to Tate getting his hands on the ball, but one official signaled a touchdown while the other waved his arms in the way that an official would if the play was ruled an interception. In the end the ruling on the field was touchdown. After video review, the ruling was confirmed by the replay official.

In the aftermath, the Packers left the field but, by rule, they were forced to return so that the Seahawks could kick the extra point. The kick finally split the uprights more than 10 minutes after the Wilson-to-Tate connection on the final play.

Kevin Harlan and Dan Fouts called the action on Westwood One Sports.
