NEW ORLEANS – Rookie Robert Griffin III played like a seasoned veteran in his NFL debut as Washington shocked New Orleans 40-32 on Sunday afternoon.
RGIII completed 19 of 26 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 42 yards on 10 carries. The 40 points scored by the Redskins are the most they’ve put up in a game since 2005.
Drew Brees threw for 339 yards and 3 touchdowns in defeat, but was also picked off twice.
