Robert Griffin III was making his first start Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. But the Redskins new quarterback sure didn’t look like a rookie. And he definitely didn’t play like one.
RGIII was unstoppable as the Skins beat the Saints in front of a stunned Superdome crowd.
The Heisman Trophy winner out of Baylor was 19 of 26 passing for 320 yards and two touchdowns. His passer rating was an astronomical 139.9. Griffin also ran the ball 10 times for 42 yards as Washington scored 40+ points for the first time in nearly seven seasons.
In Week One, Robert Griffin III was definitely In the Zone and he is our AutoZone In the Zone Pro Football Player of the Week.
