NASHVILLE, TN — Rob Bironas’ 40-yard field goal as time expired was enough to give the Tennessee Titans a come-from-behind 26-23 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
Tennessee tied the game with 4:19 remaining when Matt Hasselbeck found Kenny Britt for a touchdown.
With the score tied at 23, Ben Roethlisberger, who earlier in the game broke Terry Bradshaw’s Steelers record for career passing yards, drove his team down to attempt a potential game-winning field goal of their own, but Shaun Suisham’s 54-yard effort fell short.
With less than a minute to work with, Hasselbeck moved the Titans into field goal range and Bironas made it count.
Ian Eagle and Trent Green called the action on Westwood One Sports.
