(Listen to Rocky Boiman’s Keys to the Second Half from our broadcast)

Stanford: Rocky said the Cardinal needed to continue to control the clock and needed improved play from Kevin Hogan.
Stanford Verdict: Stanford lost the time of possession battle in the 3rd quarter, but when it counted most down the stretch, the Cardinal kept the Ducks off the field, possessing the ball for 11:06 in the fourth quarter to just 3:54 for Oregon. Quarterback Kevin Hogan was 10 of 13 in the second half and made the biggest throw of the game when Stanford needed it most, hitting Zach Ertz for a game-tying touchdown with 1:35 left in regulation.
Oregon: Rocky felt that Oregon’s biggest key was to get the ball to De’Anthony Thomas.
Oregon Verdict: In the second half, Thomas only touched the ball on offense three times – two rushes and one receptio – but he managed to score Oregon’s only points after halftime on a 6-yard run midway through the third quarter. Could Thomas have made a difference if he’d been given the ball more?
