PHILADELPHIA – Cam Newton threw for two touchdowns and also ran for a pair as the Carolina Panthers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 30-22 on Monday Night Football.
Newton was 18 of 28 for 306 yards in the air and also rushed for 52 yards on 14 carries.
Rookie running back Bryce Brown had a big game for the Eagles in defeat, picking up 178 yards on 19 carries and scoring two touchdowns. But Brown’s two lost fumbles also proved costly.
