LANDOVER, MD – Hail to the Redskins, indeed. Washington won its seventh straight game and captured the NFC East by beating the Dallas Cowboys 28-18 on Sunday night.
The Redskins gained 274 yards rushing in winning the division for the first time since 1999. Alfred Morris had 200 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries, while rookie sensation Robert Griffin III added 63 yards and a score of his own.
The Redskins will host Seattle next Sunday in an NFC Wild Card game. Dallas was eliminated from the postseason with a final-week Sunday Night Football loss for the second straight year.
