Tony’s Take on record-chasing seasons for Peterson and Megatron

12/21/2012

Adrian Peterson and Calvin Johnson are on pace to break the single-season marks for rushing yards and receiving yards, respectively, and so the final two weeks of the season look likely to pack a little extra intrigue in Minnesota and Detroit.

Peterson needs 294 yards on the ground to pass Eric Dickerson’s 1984 mark of 2,105 yards, while Johnson is 182 receiving yards shy of breaking Jerry Rice’s single-season mark of 1,848 set in 1995.

With Peterson and Johnson closing in on these historic marks, we asked our NFL analyst Tony Boselli for his take on their big seasons so far.
