Many of our fans and listeners have asked how it sounded on-air when the power was cut to the half of the Superdome where our broadcast booth was located on Sunday. Well, it sounded kind of like this…………. silence.
But not for long. After a small window of silence, the production staff in our New York studios hit a commercial break. By the time that 90-second commercial spot was complete, we had established backup communication and Kevin Harlan was able to explain the scene to listeners by speaking into a landline telephone, as you can see in the picture on this page.
