VALPARAISO, IN – Powered by a late 16-0 run, Vaparaiso rallied past Wright State to capture the Horizon League championship with a 62-54 win on Tuesday night and earned its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2004.
Erik Buggs scored 22 to lead the Crusaders, who trailed 50-44 late before reeling off 16 straight points to take a commanding ten-point lead.
Reggie Arceneaux had 14 points off the bench to lead Wright State.
