LAS VEGAS, NV – The New Mexico Lobos punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament with a 63-56 victory over UNLV in the Mountain West Championship game.
Tony Snell paced the Lobos with a game-high 21 points, including 5-for-7 marksmanship from 3-point range. Anthony Bennett led UNLV with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Bryce Dejean-Jones scored a team-high 19 points.
Bench play was a key factor in this tightly-contested game, with New Mexico holding a 17-3 advantage in points from reserves.
