SALT LAKE CITY, UT – The 14th-seeded Harvard Crimson earned the upset of the day with a 68-62 victory against the third-seeded New Mexico Lobos, giving the Ivy League champs their first-ever NCAA tournament victory. Wesley Saunders and Laurent Rivard combined to score 35 points for Harvard, who advance to face sixth-seeded Arizona on Saturday.
Sophomore Alex Kirk was the only Lobo to reach double digits, scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the loss.
