PHILADELPHIA — Duke wasn’t going to let Albany do what Lehigh last year.
The #2 seeded Blue Devils relied on Seth Curry and Mason Plumlee to make sure of it as they beat Albany 73-61 in the second round of the Midwest Regional.
Duke lead throughout the game although the Great Danes got to within 8 points with 4:40 left to play. Curry scored 26 points and Plumlee was 9 of 11 for 23 points. Quinn Cook helped with 11 assists – many to Plumlee. Plumlee was the star as he made three old school hook shots in addition to several dunks.
