Second Round Highlights: (3) Marquette 59 – (14) Davidson 58

Tent LockettLEXINGTON, KY – What was looking like the first stunning upset of the NCAA Tournament instead turned into the first stunning last-minute comeback staged by an advancing team.

Trailing 53-46 with just over 90 seconds left in regulation, Marquette ended the game on a 13-5 run to stun Davidson, 59-58. As the worst three-point shooting team in the entire field of 68, the Golden Eagles buried three huge treys down the stretch to aid their comeback.

Kevin Kugler and Jamal Mashburn called the action on Westwood One Sports.

(Blue hits a tough three as Golden Eagles fight back to tie the game)

(Down six late, Wilson dials long-distance to keep Marquette alive)

(Wildcats get a layup, but Golden Eagles respond from outside the arc)

(Wilson buries another three, leading to critical Davidson turnover)
