SAN JOSE, CA – So much for Syracuse letting a second-half meltdown against Louisville in the Big East Tournament championship game affect their play in the NCAA Tournament.
The Orange annihilated a Montana team which was a popular pick to record a second-round upset, by a final of 81-34. Brandon Triche scored a game-high 20 points…or more than half of the Grizzlies’ total output. Syracuse held Montana to 20.4% shooting from the field, including 4-for-31 from 3-point land (12.9%).
Ted Robinson and Bill Frieder called the action on Westwood One Sports.
