ATLANTA – Jim Boeheim is back at the Final Four for the fourth time as the head coach of the Syracuse Orange, and every time he’s made it to this stage his team has won and moved on to the championship game.
In 1987 and 1996, Syracuse’s season ended in defeat, but Boeheim broke through thanks to Carmelo Anthony, Gerry McNamara and the 2003 team, which defeated Kansas to win the title.
Boeheim will try to make it five-for-five in the national semifinals in Saturday’s second game in Atlanta, and ahead of the contest he sat down with our Jim Gray.
