CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Bengals showed their late-season victory against the old guard of the AFC North last year was no fluke with a comprehensive 20-10 win against the Steelers on Monday Night Football. Rookie running back Giovani Bernard scored twice for the Bengals, punching in from short early on and later showing his versatility with a 27-yard reception out of the backfield.
Andy Dalton was 25 out of 45 for 280 yards and one touchdown, while Ben Roethlisberger struggled to to connect with his receivers all night. The two-time Super Bowl champion only managed one touchdown pass to Derek Moye and had a tipped pass get picked off in the final minutes deep in Cincinnati territory that sealed the win for the Bengals. Pittsburgh fell to 0-2 for the first time in over a decade.
Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
